How to get 79,000 Coins for the Gloom Area

Some Castleville players are having trouble unlocking the Gloom area as it costs 79,000 coins. If you are one of those who are having trouble then here are a few tips on how to earn coins more quickly! If you have your own tips then please share it with us using the comment form below.

Plant wheat and strawberries if you have unlocked it also try to get people ask for you to assist on their royal buildings its really good money to do it.lol
Switch all your buildings to chateau helps too, it's the best income every 4 hours.
I postpone the quests, or just don't purchase the items when I'm saving up to buy a particular expansion...

In addition to the above suggestions, I find that visiting every single neighbor every opportunity I get really adds up fast. Find the buildings that give the most coins...chateaus, Sonia & Isabelle's houses, etc. all give more than the usual 25 coins that you get for ordinary tasks like accelerating stuff or feeding animals, etc. I do those as a last resort when someone's gotten the good ones before I get there. When I have extra energy (ha, ha! rarity) I feed my animals & other little chores at my place. I've also stopped decorating for the time being as well. I figure once I have all the space I can get then I can beautify my kingdom. Finally, for 10 reputation hearts each, you can buy the collection box. It gives out up to 5000 coins when you open it. When I realized that once I hit 100 reputation points it stopped saving them, I made it a point to go do this so that they aren't going to waste when I earn them at my neighbors. I get a lot of coins that way!

How to Get 50% Bonus Crop Speed on Castleville

Recently, we came across a great Castleville guide on how you can reach 50% Bonus Crop Speed. This is especially useful for those who need more coins or want to level up more quickly. The original article can be found here.

1. To get 50% crop bonus speed, set up as shown in the picture. Make sure the river is a "solid" river. If you place two river sections a square apart, they will LOOK like a connected river, but there's really a space in between that doesn't COUNT as a river tile for irrigation purposes.

2. For a limited time, you can gift river sections. Gift them to your buddies, and if they autogift you back, you get lots!

3. Re: Gloom Beasties - Depending on level, you have a maximum of 2-3 or more Gloom Beasties in your kingdom. Set up an area in your kingdom that you wouldn't mind having Gloom Beasties on. Destroy all Gloom Beasties in your kingdom, then make sure you are STANDING in the CENTER of the setup area, then drink a few Gloom Beastie potions (available in the Marketplace for Reputation hearts; you can get Reputation hearts by visiting neighbors and performing friend actions). If you drink more potions than your kingdom allows Gloom Beasties, the potion drops (just pick it up). If your neighbors fight off your Gloom Beasties, let them. First, you can get energy drops when a Gloom Beastie is destroyed. Second, you should have lots of Reputation anyways, so you can easily replace the potion. If you open up a new area, there is often a Gloom Beastie in that area that appears even if your kingdom is "maxed out" on Gloom Beasties. You can leave it for your neighbors to destroy or beat it up yourself.

Too Many Gloom Monsters on Castleville in One Go?

According to some Castleville players, they have reported that a sudden surge of Gloom monsters started to appear in their game. They are complaining that they have to use up all their energy points to remove the gloom animals from their land. Here are more comments regarding this issue.

I am using up all of my energy killing off gloom animals and its ridicules. I cant do anything with out one popping up. sometimes I have 2-3 on my screen at a time. There is so much crafting to do for missions I cant keep up on making super clubs or on repetition to buy them enough to keep all my energy from being used up. this is even with having 4 shops on my land. Calm down the stupid Gloomies!!!!

Here is one tentative fix for those who are having similar issues.

Rearrange and empty a far corner of your kingdom. Walk to the corner with your avatar. Place a 3x3 fenced square in the empty corner around your avatar. Make sure nothing else is too close to your fenced area. Summon 3 beasts. Buying 3 gloom rat potions is easiest. Leave them there, and more beasties will not show up elsewhere.

Castleville Players stuck with 95% Loading Progress

Some Castleville players have complained that their loading bar will only go up till about 95% and completely stop. Here is a full description of the problem at hand. Since 11/15 some players have been reporting being stuck at 95% on the intialy CastleVille loading screen and unable to access the game. A fix is currently in the works so hang in there. In the mean time, perhaps you can spend more time on other Zynga games like Frontierville. If you have any tips for those who are having this issue then please share it with us.

Unable to Complete Visiting Heirs Quest

Some of our Castleville readers have reported that they have not been able to complete the 'Visting Heirs' quest. As part of this mission, you have to visit your new neighbor the Duke, banish the invading beasties, and earn 5 reputation points by helping your new neighbor. The problem has to do with the beasties. Here is the complete description of the problem at hand.

Since 11/18, a percentage of players have reported being unable to complete the Visiting Heirs Quest due to the Beastie not counting toward progress.

How to get the Castleville Friends Tab?

A few of the Castleville users have commented they noticed that some of their friends had a 'Castleville Friends' tab, when they don't. Is there a special way to get one of these tabs? It'll make your life a lot easier when trying to get more neighbors who actually play Castleville, and not Cityville. Unfortunately, we do not have a solution as of now but we will inform you as soon as we find out. Here are some other comments from fellow Castleville players.

I have the same problem but I also have a row of neighbors at the bottom of my screen saying "I'm playing" and a tab to click to add friend. Well I have clicked to add friend and nothing happens. So I have all these friends playing and no way of being able to visit them

I have the same issue and it is really annoying.

Again, see he gets the Castleville friends tab and I don't. When do I get the Castleville friends tab? Does anybody else have this tab?

I have the castleville tab but I have to click on it as it is not the one open by default. Guess I shouldn't complain.

How to do the Sell the Diamond Quest on Castleville

Castleville players have commented that they have been having troubles with a quest that requires them to sell a diamond. The question is, where do you find the crystal and how do you sell it? It's actually pretty simple. You can find your crystal in the inventory. Sonja should have gave you one prior to this quest. When you click the diamond, you will get an option to sell it. It's that simple. Here are some comments from other Castleville players.

It should be in your inventory. I'm pretty sure that Sonja gives you one on the quest before she asks you to sell one. There should be a sell option right on the diamond.

That's strange. I had two, and I think the other one came from mining stones. Maybe you should contact customer services about your missing diamond. I'm certain Sonja gave me one.

I got a diamond yesterday from my mining building.

If Sonja did not give you one then you may be able to acquire a diamond from the mining building or mining stones. If you have any other tips then feel free to share it with us!
